HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT

The company Mikić was registered in 1990 as a craft and trade business under the name of G.P.P. Mikić with its headquarters in Malinska and owned by Nikola Turčić jnr. (1947) (construction engineer) and operated successfully up until 01/10/1996.

The fundamental idea in founding the company was the application of cold asphalt technologies, specifically, micro-asphalt, surface treatment and remix. At that time, work was underway on an innovative method for roughening and repairing thoroughfare (road) surfaces which is still today one of the most effective technologies and cost-effective solutions for repairing thoroughfare (road) structures. In the region of ex-Yugoslavian countries, the company GPP Mikić was the first to develop the mentioned technologies and still applies them today.

GOALS

  • The future strategy in developing the construction business of the company is directed towards tracking market trends in all areas of building construction and civil engineering. An emphasis on building construction continues to exist for the above described technologies in repairing thoroughfares (roads) using cold technologies (micro-asphalt and surface treatment) for which the company has an exclusive presence on the Croatian market.

  • Efforts are invested in the hotel-tourism business for the purpose of tracking world trends and adopting them, as well as improving quality with the final aim of creating comprehensive services.

  • The business plan incorporates the monitoring of requirements within the company, advancing business operations through effective distribution of necessary materials and training of personnel.

  • Great attention is directed towards controlling costs and tracking revenue across all business units using modern applications and monitoring methods.

  • Accordingly, it becomes evident that the company G.P.P. Mikić d.o.o. basis its business on construction with a clear vision to invest in tourism. Proof of this is the continual increase in the number of employees and revenue within the tourism sector as well as regular investments in increasing capacities, associated amenities and quality of services.

REAL ESTATE

GPP Mikić owns property at attractive locations on the area of the island of Krk, Rab and Sv. Jurje. All the facilities have been designed and constructed with attention to detail based on years of experience in construction and tourism.
